Ahmadinejad interview

Check out the interview with Ahmadinejad on the Iranian view on cooperation and diplomatic engagement with the world's leaders. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3032619/#25887981

Then check out this youtube video about Bush's comments about Iran: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xLioyP69N3I

There is nothing wrong with the U.S. diplomatically engaging with anyone :ally OR enemy....good thing Obama agrees with this stance, unlike the Bush administration.

Al Jazeera

Something on my mind at the moment that makes me angry. The fact that you can't get Al Jazeera in the U.S. I am fortunate to be able to watch this station everyday here in Paris, and in my opinion there is no comparable network for getting un-biased news- especially on the Middle East. I feel motivated to post this due to various friends/family that have visited me from the U.S. who have never heard of this station. And after hearing one comment about it, and I quote, "Al Jazeera, isn't that the name of a terrorist group?" Noooo.

Based in Doha, Qatar, Al Jazeera broadcasts all over the world (except the U.S.), and is definitely where you should be getting your world news from (not FOX news!) Why can't you watch it in the U.S.? Due to Right-Wing conservative effort at keeping it out, although they claim that there is no market for it in the U.S. and that there's no demand for it. I find this hard to believe.

So, if you don't know about Al Jazeera, inform yourself, and choose this as a source of world news first instead of just watching the more American-biased news networks. Luckily for you, you might not be able to watch in the U.S. yet, but you can watch certain programs on their website here: http://english.aljazeera.net/

Finally posted some pics of beautiful Paris! Still managed to find some time to do some sightseeing despite all the paperwork and numerous trips to the American embassy.

I start school on Monday!

Paris, here I come!

I officially fly out tomorrow....and I've even managed to narrow down all my luggage to a reasonable number of bags. Good to see everyone that I did over the weekend and the past week- I'm gonna miss you all! Keep in touch, and I'll try to post some pics soon!

Miles gonna miss you, even though you're a little shit

A few nights in San Fran

Spent a few days in San Fran with my sister a few weeks ago...did a little shopping, but mostly eating and drinking. Went to Fisherman's Wharf and had some amazing clam chowder, walked through Chinatown, and all around Union Square. The highlight was the Red Room at the Clift Hotel. The portraits on the wall with the moving eyes were freaky though!
